Just got a message from someone saying "WTF? Why aren't you doing your celtic knot things anymore?"..

*blinks*

First off, everything is done in phases. I am still working on some celtic knotwork, but it takes low priority to some stuff I am obligated to do right now (i.e. the comic.. commissioned work for real people NOT on the computer.. working on more birds).
Second, in between work, home, busted sinks, commissionings, and a really cool little thing that I've enjoyed a great deal called Second Life, I don't have as much time as I'd like. I've been making textures trying to get a business going in SL (i.e. generate enough money to self-sustain.. or Im going to quit).
Third.. Dude, how rude! You don't start out a conversation with "WTF". It just isn't done and might garner a better response if you don't.

There's lots of fantastic knotwork artists out there, and they should hold you over till I get back into it.. IF I get back into it.

Thank you for your time..

Thank you for the kind encouragement. I do not work nearly hard enough.. Second Life is a massively multiplayer online game, you can read up on it here: [link]

It's terribly addictive in that it is ALL about community. There are no monsters to slay, no particular goals. People have stores, sell commodoties, build buildings and places that correspond with real places and imaginary places. There is a reproduction of the Sistene Chapel somewhere in it.. and it's a lot of people just sort of hanging out to do things.

For example, I build 3d furniture in the game and sell it. The money within the game can be exchanged for real money and be bought for real money. It's very interesting economic dynamic. And when I get tired of building furniture, I can take a break, visit friends at their houses in game, or maybe go to a dance with my friends (I hang out in the 1800's era places, so everything is very British Victorian). People design clothing, skin.. dcorations, art, etc.. Just about anything you can think of. Pretty darn cool.

But very addictive. :(

That's a really awesome concept. Sheer genius.

I made a SW33T leather texture for my craftsmen sofa.. I even made stitches and seams, it looks so good. I've learned more about antique furniture in the past month that I have my entire life. Did you know there was a whole german based backlash against the French Empire set of furniture in the 1820-30's? it's sooo weird how politics dictate the fashion of furniture. I LOVE it.. Right now I'm working on a set of Craftsmen, circa 1910.
